My office walls are bare. I need to put something up, but I'm not really sure what. I think if I could have access to any painting in the world, I would like to try out this Rothko for a while:
I wonder if the BY has this in their collection and would let me borrow it . . . .
There's no denying the appeal of the Rothko, but how could you pass up J. M. W. Turner's "The Fighting Temeraire..." (not bad for a guy who died almost 130 years before ESB :D )
You know, you could probably paint that yourself. Sure, it wouldn't be a Rothko, but still. It's more or less a red square with a yellow line through it. Give it a whirl. Maybe you could even paint one whole wall like that!
